Prepare to install the application

In this guide, you’ll install and configure the SurveyBird application. When you’re finished, you’ll have a functional SurveyBird application running your own server.

  • Create a domain or subdomain

  • Create the database

  • Upload the application

  • Log in as an Administrator

Create a domain or subdomain

Create your own domain or subdomain as per your needs. You can do this via your domain or hosting provider.

If you are using the Cpanel, follow the below steps.

Step 1

Go to Cpanel >> Subdomains

Step 2

Create a Subdomain Enter the "Subdomain name"

Select the "Domain" from the dropdown.

Delete any default files that are maybe added.

Step 3

Go to the newly created subdomain or domain root directory.

Create the database

Prepare the database

We recommend that you use cPanel’s MySQL Database Wizard interface (cPanel >> Home >> Databases >> MySQL Database Wizard) to create your database and user.

In the New Database text box, enter a name for the database. Click Next Step. A new interface will appear.

To create a new user account, perform the following steps: Enter a username in the Username text box. Enter and confirm the new password in the appropriate text boxes. Click Create User.

Select the checkboxes that correspond to the privileges that you wish to grant to the user. To grant all of the available privileges to the user, select the ALL PRIVILEGES checkbox. Click Next Step.

Please note your database name, username, and password.

Upload the application

The following steps need to be followed to install the script on a shared hosting platform.

Step 1

Go to Cpanel >> File Manager

Go to your domain or subdomain directory where you want to install the SurveyBird.

Step 2

Upload the source code you have downloaded from CodeCanyon.

Step 3

Extract the contents of the zip file to the same directory.

Step 4

Assuming your domain is example.com, navigate to http://example.com/install

Start the installation wizard

Check your server meet the required requirements

Check for the folder permissions

Fill the form with your application and database information.

Log in as an Administrator

You can log in to the administrator dashboard using the following credentials. Don't forget to change the default email and password. Email: admin@demo.com Password: password
